All Natural Outdoor Annoyance Spray
Before I began using Young Living essential oils, I had been searching for an all natural, DEET free product that actually works. It was so difficult to find anything that didn’t have toxic chemicals, let alone DEET free. Once I discovered the amazing benefits and versatility of essential oils, I realized there are many that could be utilized to enjoy the outdoors annoyance free that are toxin free AND cheap!
Here is the recipe I like to utilize when outdoors:
I find that using these particular oils really covers the spectrum of ALL outdoor annoyances! Also, I think this particular mix smells AMAZING! I have people ask what perfume I’m wearing or say, “you smell great, what is it!?”.
You could also use this spray around doorways or indoors to keep your home annoyance free!
Others essential oils you could substitute (if you don’t have one of the oils in the recipe or do not care for it):
- Cinnamon bark
There are SO many different combinations that you could create to YOUR smell preferences! If you are not a fan of citronella, sub it out for one of the alternates on the list! I try different combos all the time just for a variety of smell or if I am making it for a friend!
Another tip to keep your outdoor experience pleasant is to diffuse a mix of these oils when you are sitting on your back deck under an awning or camping in a camper.
You could also put a few drops of these oils on a para-cord bracelet. I do this while I’m hiking, camping, or kayaking. They work great especially if you don’t want to be carrying a spray bottle around.
What about our beloved pets!? Here is a solution for them! RepelAroma by Young Living!
