Want juicy burgers with lean, grass fed beef!?

Well, here is my secret ingredient for flavorful, juicy burgers (without using meat with a high fat content) every time!

Coconut milk!

(No, your burgers won’t taste like coconut!)

Everyone thinks I am crazy for making my burgers out of organic grass fed beef because of it’s low fat content.  (Low fat generally equals dry and less tasty burgers)

Dry, mealy burgers are now a thing of the past! All you need is a few tablespoons of coconut milk (NOT coconut cream or coconut oil!).

Coconut milk adds the fat you need to keep the burgers juicy, but this is the healthy type of fat! Not the type that will clog your arteries!

I love to add ingredients to my handcrafted, organic (and now juicy) burgers like diced onions, peppers, celery, and/or mushrooms. Or spices/herbs like cumin, garlic, cayenne, parsley, cilantro, basil, adobo, or even steak seasoning!

I also on occasion will stuff my burgers with goat cheese, which is AMAZING! If you are not a fan of goat cheese, you could also use blue cheese, feta, Gouda, or any other cheese you love.  Crumbly cheeses tend to work best though because there is less of a chance that they will ooze out.

Do you use Young Living essential oils? Try cooking with them! Add a drop of your favorite Young Living Vitality Line oils like black pepper, celery seed, oregano, basil, rosemary or thyme to your burger mix for enhanced flavor and health benefits!

Don’t forget to put a thumb print in your burger to keep it from plumping up too much (it keeps it flat and cooks evenly).

Toss those buns on the grill right before the burgers are done. I guarantee you will never go without a toasted bun again!

Want a gluten free option? Use lettuce to wrap your juicy burger instead of a bun.  I love the crunch it adds and it is low carb!

For a Thai twist on your burger, make a sauce with the leftover coconut milk! Add 2-3 Tbsp of green or red Thai curry paste and simmer until thick. Use instead of traditional condiments!
